Meet the Makers: The Local Artists Behind Our Gallery

Every piece in our gallery has a hometown. A studio. A pair of hands that shaped it.

Glass Growers was built on a simple belief: that Erie deserves access to extraordinary art — and that local artists deserve a beautiful space to share their work. What started as a small studio and exhibit space has grown into something much wider: a rotating collection of work by many makers who live and create right here in our region.

Why local matters to us (beyond the obvious):

When you buy a piece from a local artist, you're not just acquiring an object. You're part of an ongoing story. That artist goes home knowing their work found a place in the world. They buy materials, pay studio rent, keep making. The creative ecosystem of this region stays alive because people like you choose to invest in it.

What you'll find right now on our floor:

Our current collection includes hand-blown glass pieces ranging from sculptural to functional vases and tableware, alongside ceramics, fiber art, and curated gift items — all sourced from small, independent makers. We rotate our inventory regularly, so if something caught your eye last time you visited, come back. Something new is always waiting.

Want to see your own work here?

We welcome submissions from local artists. If you're a maker interested in showing your work at Glass Growers, reach out — we'd love to talk.

Come see what Erie is making. We think you'll be surprised.
