Leah Humphries is a mixed media artist showcasing her talents in local art galleries as well as her personal home studio. Her focus is fiber art, jewelry and photography.
She is a graduate of Mercyhurst University with a BA in Design.
She is a 2009 recipient of Pennsylvania’s The Best 50 Women In Business Award as well as a 7 time ADDY Award Winner for Design Excellence.
After a year-long battle with cancer in January of 2018, Humphries found herself searching for the creative spark she felt was lost. She created a home art studio and began working on creative ideas that reflected her new lease on life.
Officially cancer-free! Leah cultivates new works made of brightly colored happy Batik fabrics intricately cut and sewn to create her signature fabric collages. She calls this process Painting with Fabric.
