Born and raised in Germany, I loved being creative in visual arts from my early childhood. Living in Berlin with its exuberant cultural life and a rich history was wonderful, but my professional career left no extra time for me to create art.
This lack of time changed significantly with my move to Erie in 2010. I found amazing and inspiring art teachers and made new friends through painting. I painted in watercolor and acrylics before I learned to manage the challenges of oil. I really enjoy the brilliance of oil paint and the endless possibilities.
I fell in love with the landscapes of northwestern Pennsylvania, with rolling hills, old barns, and Lake Erie.
I have exhibited and sold my paintings in Pennsylvania, New York State and Germany and won regional awards.
