Eddie Mitchell's Loving Life is an exuberant celebration of light, color, and the everyday beauty that surrounds us. Working in acrylic and oil on canvas, Mitchell brings an infectious joy to his florals and landscapes. He paints with lush, euphoric color and a masterful layering of technique, from smooth passages to pointillist dabs and impasto texture. A graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art, where he now teaches alongside Lakeland Community College, Mitchell draws on a deep knowledge of art history in service of work that is warmly his own.
