John Ballard has been creating with wood for over forty years. His original designs range from commercial displays and commissioned furniture pieces to fish carvings, dimensional driftwood wall art and driftwood sculptures. His work has been displayed at numerous galleries and shows in northwest Pennsylvania and western New York.

He says the following about his work: “Driftwood, glass, rock, and debris that has been weathered and transformed by the pounding of the waves and sand is fascinating to me. The unusual shapes, textures and patterns are combined to make unique assemblages of dimensional wall art.  Whenever possible, reclaimed lumber is recycled into my creations. I find satisfaction in giving new life to discarded items.”
