Sarah Brown
Like a fairy tale, I was born in a tiny log cabin in the woods of Northern Pennsylvania, mushrooms growing in the cracks of the logs and squirrels running about. My artist parents were always building, painting, sewing, planting, and creating. They taught me how to make things from the time I could use my hands. They taught me to be independent and creative in every aspect of my life.
After spending 10 years in the city I now live peacefully with my woodworking husband, our daughter, and a small "zoo" of 25 chickens, 4 ducks, a guinea hen, Homer the alpaca, two dogs, and a cat named Shrimp in western New York.
I love cute things, I'm inspired by nature and animals and everyday happenings. I try to view the world through the eyes of a child, the pure amazing world they see is what I hope to reflect in my art work. Focusing on bright colors and happy feelings, I'd like to make you smile.
My main medium is watercolor, but I sometimes dabble in acrylics and gouache.
