About Us

Glass Growers Gallery is an art gallery and gift shop in downtown Erie that offers curated art, distinct awards, and personalized gifts with individualized attention. We eagerly welcome customers of any age and any budget. Our gallery presents a refined selection of paintings, photographs, sculptures, and collages. We can help select appropriate art and frames and offer delivery and installation for larger corporate or residential projects.

Our goal is to provide connections for artists around the region and across the United States with those in our community. Creating accessibility to all members of the community by emphasizing different price points and making customers feel at home and at peace when they visit the business is at the forefront of our mission. Our pieces can be personalized for that special person in mind and we can even package, gift wrap, and ship your gifts! After visiting Glass Growers Gallery, we hope you feel inspired by our unique and diverse art.

Erie Downtown Development

Art is often used to bring people together by creating a comfortable and beautiful environment that satisfies the eyes of viewers. Supporting the local community by providing access to art through our gallery is helping downtown Erie in many ways. As stated by the nonprofit organization Project for Public Spaces, civic institutions, like museums, public galleries, community art organizations, performing art institutions, arts councils, and public arts organizations have a rare opportunity to lead significant change by engaging specific groups to help devise and carry out creative community-building neighborhood programs.

These special organizations like Glass Growers Gallery strive to lead change to implement a creative outlet in our community. Not only does displaying art publicly make for a memorable experience for Erie natives and tourists from nearby cities, but also gives a reason to come back and be inspired by our community’s art once again.

Glass Growers Gallery in the Erie Community

Community-wide events are the cornerstone of community engagement, making the cities come alive, and give the community a reason to celebrate. These events are very effective in communities with great social, ethnic, and economic diversity. Implementing an event annually to spotlight our local artists, where members of the community can meet and learn more about them can be a strong community builder. Such events are a great way to stimulate connections in Erie since they create lasting memories and a sense of comradery throughout the community. Coming together in support of a local organization lifts the spirits of everyone involved.

Erie is home to many great resources such as Presque Isle State Park (4th most visited public park in America), the nation’s largest medical school (LECOM), a diverse community, and most importantly, a cultural downtown area that supports many local businesses. The downtown revitalization project run by the Erie Downtown Development Corporation is a stride forward for many businesses and organizations that have been staples in our community for decades. This revitalization ensures that the small businesses that had a huge part in developing the Erie community not only stay but continue to be successful and make our community special.

Supporting the Local Erie Environment

We see a lot of value in being an active participant in our local community. Glass Growers Gallery has supported the revitalization of downtown through local initiatives such as the ReLeaf exhibit, where art and nature come together. Our gallery partnered with LEAF (Lake Erie Arboretum at Frontier Park) to present the “Branching Out: A Tree Themed Art Exhibit” and will donate ten percent of the show’s proceeds to help with their county-wide tree-planting initiative that will plant 275,000 trees, one for each resident of Erie County. Glass Growers Gallery is excited to play a part in this initiative that will add beauty and educational opportunities to the community while also improving the natural environment and the air we breathe.
