Katherine Knupp
“Crow. Wolf. Woman”
September 14 to October 16
Artist Reception: Friday September 21 7 to 10 pm
Katherine Knupp is a self-taught artist who works intuitively with the animals and archetypes that inhabit her drawings. The work is deeply personal, but carries echoes of universal myths and stories, such as Morrigan the battle goddess of Ireland, Crow Mother of the Hopi Indians and Kali-Ma, the Hindu goddess of time and change. A life-long Erie resident, she lives with her husband, the writer John Repp, their 12- year- old son Dylan Repp, and a curious black cat named Onyx. Her work was selected for the We’Moon 2011 Datebook and We’Moon 2013 Datebook, published in Oregon and distributed worldwide. This is her first gallery show.
